NameChangePacket is a digital product. We stand behind the one thing we control: that your packet is correct, .gov-verified, and personalized to the situation you entered.

3-day money-back guarantee

If your packet isn't correct for your situation, email us within 3 days of purchase for a full refund.

When a refund is available

A full refund is available within 3 days of purchase if your packet is not correct or doesn't fit the situation you entered — for example, if it's missing your state's steps, the steps don't reflect the official sources we cite, or it doesn't match the answers you gave. To request one, email us with your order reference and a short note on what was wrong.

What the guarantee covers (and what it doesn't)

The guarantee is on the accuracy and fit of your packet — the part within our control. We can't offer refunds based on what happens at a government agency: we organize and cite official rules, but each agency sets its own requirements, fees, and timelines and decides its own cases, which we can't control. A correctly built packet isn't a guarantee of any particular outcome, and the government forms themselves are always free.

Filled-forms accuracy guarantee

If you buy a packet that fills your federal forms, we add a narrow accuracy guarantee on top of the 3-day guarantee above: if we fill a field wrong and can’t fix it, you get your money back. It covers the one thing we control — filling a field correctly from the information you gave us. It is not a guarantee of any government agency outcome: each agency still sets its own requirements and decides its own cases, which we can't control.

Technical issues

If a technical problem stops you from viewing, refreshing, or downloading your packet, contact us right away with your order reference. We'll resolve it or issue a refund.

How to request a refund

Email support@namechangepacket.com within 3 days of purchase, from the address you used at checkout, with your order reference and a brief description of what didn't fit. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer.

Requests outside this policy

This guarantee is the refund we offer. Any refund beyond it is at our discretion, and we may decline requests that fall outside it — for example, requests made after 3 days, change-of-mind requests where the packet was correct for your situation, or requests we reasonably determine to be abusive or fraudulent. Nothing here limits any rights you may have under applicable law.

Please email us first — most issues are resolved in a single reply, and we'd rather fix it than have you dispute a charge with your bank.
